“This is probably one of the cheesiest songs I’ve ever played, or taught someone how to play.”
The blond girl was chuckling at the eager girl sitting in the sand across from her. They both had guitars, only one seemed to know what she was doing. The other girl looked like she was starting to understand, but she wouldn’t until Frankie explained it more thoroughly. The two girls seemed to be learning something, or at least trying to. Allie glared at Frankie as she mentioned how the song was cheesy. Allie thought it was cute. She shook her head at the blond girl. “Just make sure I have this right, will you?” She asked with a scowl. Her fingers scanned the frets, trying to get the song started. Frankie played the harmony on the other side of her.
”You make it easy, it’s easy as 1, 2, - 1, 2, 3, 4.” Frankie’s hand went straight to Allie’s, pulling it off the top of the guitar. “You know, you’re a hard student.” Frankie said, taking the guitar and playing the chords correctly. “Try again.” She mumbled, handing Allie her guitar back. She scowled again, slowly playing the chords, correctly this time. Allie grinned at her success, her eyes darting to the sheet music below her. “There’s only one thing to do, three words for you.” Allie sang softly, strumming on the guitar. She was lost in the music. In fact she wasn’t even sure if she was playing the tune correctly. All she knew was that she felt happy and at peace while playing.
The peace was ended when Frankie broke into her own song, grinning. “Hey Stephen, I know looks can be deceiving but I know I saw a light in you. As we walked, and we talked, I didn’t say half the things I wanted to!” She didn’t yell the words, but she didn’t sing them on the right key. They were loud and obnoxious, just like Allie found Frankie to be sometimes. Frankie laughed at Allie’s annoyed face, quickly pulling herself to her feet on the blanket. “Do I really have to stay here now? I’m supposed to go back and hang out with Anne.” Frankie mumbled, straightening her jeans and sweatshirt.
Allie glared, a small smile shining through. “No, you can leave.” She muttered, chuckling. “Thanks for the help.” Allie mumbled, setting the guitar to the side and laying back on the blanket in the sand. She stared at the clouds, watching them make shapes. She had always wanted to steal a cloud from the sky, and she had contemplated whether or not it was possible. The clouds were getting boring. She loved to watch them, but when it was almost evening and it was getting a bit dark, she obviously wasn’t going to have clouds for much longer.
She reached for the guitar and set it back in its case, closing and locking the case securely. Allie shoved it out of the way, sitting up criss-cross applesauce. She took her iPod out of her pocket, unwrapping the ear buds from around it. She put one in each ear, and then locked the iPod, slipping it back into her pocket. The main reason Allie was here by herself was to think. She knew for a fact that if she was around Deanna at her dorm then she couldn’t think. This was only because they would end up talking and she wouldn’t be able to straighten out her thoughts.
The first thing on her mind was Quin. Did she like him? She hadn’t been sure. She was sure at home in Miami only because he was the only boy there that ever took a liking to her. When she got back to Stewart, she remembered Paul. He was her best friend, wasn’t there some kind of code that said you weren’t allowed to do that? Maybe it wasn’t a code, just something most people followed. Allie felt like she was breaking some code of law. Plus, it didn’t matter if she liked him. He liked Brooklyn. She had always wondered why Paul never liked her like that. He had liked Dee, but not her.
Then she was thinking about Dee. She was so strong. Allie wanted to be strong like her. She had her own problems, but Dee had cancer. Dee was battling a life threatening disease. She tried her best to be there for Dee all the time. Sometimes she wished she wasn’t so selfish and could push everything aside to be there for Dee. After all, she was her best friend. Allie sighed at the thought of her selfishness, shaking her head. Why can’t I be more like her? [/blockquote]

Sam let out a frusterated sigh as he led Cheetah down the boardwalk. He was trying to do him a favor by changing the way he dressed, but it was a hell lot harder than he had expected. Not only had he forced him into the newest designer clothes he had gotten for free, but he had secretly tipped off some press that he was heading to the boardwalk to help someone from school, so he couldn't loose his temper. With anyone else this would had been okay, but for Sam Ramsey, well, it was challenging. Especially while trying to convert the socially, and fashionally nature boy.
" Okay, here's my opinion, coming from a friend to a friend. " Sam let out a dramatic pause, shaking some blonde hair out of his face as Cheetah scowled. Although Cheetah was not aware of Sam's plan, he wasn't accostomed to how unnatrually friendly he was being, and was getting sick of it, or was that just Sam in general? Glancing down at his attire Cheetah let out a sigh, hating how these weird, fur loafers gripped his feet tightly, he had been informed of how nice and expensive they were, but he wasn't feeling it.
Raising his eyebrows Cheetah glanced up at Sam, letting out a sigh as he raiesd a hand, telling him to continue. Sam cleared his throat. " First off, I think you should drop the name. I mean Cheetah. " It didn't take a genius to figure out Cheetah's opinion on this; his face completly clouded over, causing Sam to kick the ground with the toe of his black converse. " Come on, it sounds stupid.. " he trailed off but at the same time knew he wasn't getting anywhere. " Okay, fine. Well, another thing.. one of like, a million things to improve " Sam muttered under his breath, " is to be able to talk to girls. "
Cheetah frowned once more. " But I can talk to girls. " Sighing, a slight breeze whipped his messy hair out of his face as he shuffled along the boardwalk. He was trying to best to be openminded but Sam was the last person who he wanted advice from, sure he was famous, but that hadn't gotten him many solid friends from Stewart, or good friends in general. And he wasn't about to let Sam tell him about his own level of comfort with girls; he might not be the best flirter or anything, but he could talk to girls. Cheet knew that most girls liked someone who cared and was kind, something Sam apparently was not aware of.
Rolling his eyes Sam glanced over at the stubborn Cheetah, peering eagerly over his shoulder, hoping to see the press that he had been promised. Shrugging he made his way onto the beach, " Sure, sure you can " he muttered, kicking some sand up with his feet, obnoxiously to hit Cheetah who was walking behind him. " Alright, if you can talk to girls so well, the next one we see go up and.. flirt with her. "
" Done. " Cheetah answered quickly, without hesistation or thinking at all. He was so ready for Sam to shut up, and stop acting overly superior to everyone else. Spotting a girl with their back to them on the beach he licked his lips, glancing down at his outfit, what was with this black vest type thing, anyways? It wasn't like he was going anywhere fancy, but apparently it was the new thing. Leaning towards Sam he heard what he whispered, chewing his bottom lip ferociously, but knew he would never leave him alone if he didn't approach the girl with his words. Making his way over he cleared his throat, tapping her on the shoulder as he dropped on a knee to speak before facing her " Hey baby, howya doing? "

Allie was so concentrated on the waves she barely noticed the voices behind her. She could hear them, but it was a free beach. She knew other people would end up going there. She had just hoped nobody would. Allie pulled her legs to her chest, placing her chin on her knees. Her eyes scanned the sand below her, remembering so many memories at the beach. She gave a small smile, remembering how many times she had gone there with Cheetah. They always seemed to be there or at least make up there. She shook his presence from her mind, her eyes glued to a specific wave. She picked at the frays of her shorts for a lack of something to do.
Hey baby, how’ya doing?
It was almost as if with those words, Allie felt her entire heart sink into her stomach. She knew the voice. It was so eerily familiar, yet at the same time so distant. She couldn’t turn to look just yet. It was too terrifying. It couldn’t have been him. She was almost sure it wasn’t. Allie kept telling herself that, hoping to God that she was right. Part of her wished it was him so she could take in just the image of him and remember every last second she had with him. The other half sincerely hoped it wasn’t, because if he had just called her baby, she was sure she’d be having Frankie drop kick him.
Slowly, she turned her head to face the boy with a smile. Her face fell when she saw it was who she had imagined. The smile was gone, and her eyes were gazed over. She wanted to scream. Allie wanted to stand up, tower over him and let all of her emotions out. There were so many different emotions towards him. The first and foremost was anger. He made her blood boil just thinking about him. He had hurt her so many times, and the last time she had promised herself it would be the last. She just couldn’t come to face that now, she wasn’t so sure if the last time was the last time. The second was resentment. She resented him for every single time he hurt her. He ran away, he said hurtful things; he kept her wondering what she was doing wrong to keep pushing him away. It was typical of her to blame it on herself, but she just couldn’t blame it on anyone else. Had she been too clingy?
The third was love. She loved him. Allie knew she did. Every time she’d look at him, which wasn’t as often as she’d like, she felt the little twinge in the bottom of her heart that told her to just keep trying. He’d love her back again some day. Allie didn’t believe it anymore. Now that he was sitting right in front of her, she had to say something. She couldn’t just stare at him. That was pathetic.
She bit down on her bottom lip, before looking him directly in the eyes. There had to be some kind of sentence that would explain all the emotions she felt at the moment. “Why do you keep doing this? Do you enjoy confusing me?”
It was the only thing she could seem to get out of her system. She could feel her heart beating like there was one of those toy monkeys that clapped the symbols in her chest. There was no more anger, there wasn’t anything but hurt. She wanted to say something else, or to explain herself, but she wasn’t even sure if she could make herself talk. Allie wanted to run. She wanted to run as fast as she could away and hide. “I mean you keep coming back and forth, and back and forth. You know, your mood swings are kind of giving me whip lash.“ She stopped herself, shaking her head. “It’s hopeless to even try to explain myself to you anymore.” Allie mumbled to herself, putting her face in her knees so he couldn’t see how hurt she really was. Cheetah stared at the back of the head of the mystery girl, hoping she wouldn't slap him across the face. He knew from just watching Sam that some girls hated pickup lines and all that, but others thought it was nice. Nice? He wrinkled his nose, if he was a girl, he knew he wouldn't like it. Or would he? Knowing he wasn't about to be a girl anytime soon he shook the thought of his head, craning it a little to finally catch a glimpse of the girls face, before she turned around first. For a moment he flashed her a grin before it slipped right off his face. No way.
It couldn't be Allie, could it? But seeing her smile dissapear just as his had he instantly knew, it was her. Allie. Who he hadn't seen for what, six months? More? His face falling to a blank expression his eyes quickly averted to the ground, suddenly not sure how to react, what to say, what to think. What terms were they even on? Were they still friends? Rubbing at his forehead he sank down slightly in the sand, glancing up at Sam as he quickly waved him away, he didn't know how Allie was going to react, but he did know he didn't want Sam there. However, Sam being the idiot he was, firmly shook his head. He was not yet aware that it was Allie, one of his many enemies from Stewart, and thought since he was the genius who set Cheet and this girl up, that he should be given viewing rights.
Folding his arms Sam watched the scene curiously, pretending to throw a coughing fit as he blurted out " KISS HER. " Another act of stupidity. Observing Cheetah and the dark haired girl he watched- er, heard her ? suddenly raise her voice, not to a yell, but all the same she seemed mad at Cheetah. Catching a glimpse of her he frowned, why did she look and sound so farmiliar? Holy shit. Gaping slightly he realized it was Allie, taking a step closer as he flashed her an irritating grin, waving obnoxiously " HEY O'RIELLY, HOWS IT GOING ? " He really was an ass.
Cheetah bowed his head as she began to blurt out her feelings, unable to register anything well with the mixture of her questions, the questions popping up in his head, and why Sam had to be such an idiot. Feeling like a complete dunce he opened his mouth, unable to process words " I.. I n-never tried to.. " He trailed off, mentally slapping himself; if he couldn't form a proper sentance, he might as well go back to the first grade. Clearing his throat he rubbed at his forehead a bit more, shooting Sam a look, but he once again refused to budge.
" It's not moodswings.. I-it's, just.. I.. I can't stand it here, at Stewart, anywhere- it's all the same, people are just- " He cut himself off, realizing he wasn't making sense, and the only thing she'd conclude to out of that was that he wanted to go live in a tribe of monkeys, of something like that. But it wasn't that. " I didn't think, I just-"
" Obviously you didn't think, dumbass. " Sam interjected, flashing him a smirk as Cheetah glowered. " I mean, why'd you even go out with her ? "

Allie’s anger was beginning to dissipate when he had started to stutter. Her stern look faded, and her expression was more upset than anything. It was too easy to just yell at him. She didn’t want to do that anyway. That would most likely push him away. Allie didn’t want to push him away. She didn’t necessarily want to be close to him either. Who was she kidding? She’d give anything to be like before. She lifted her head, letting her chin stay atop her knees. Allie watched his grin fade, feeling a part of her shatter. It was like the sight of her made him upset. What had she done to him besides love him unconditionally? She tried to do everything right and make him happy, but she never seemed to succeed.
Her eyes narrowed as she heard that smug voice. The entire world stopped. The anger was radiating back into her system. Sam Ramsey. She hated him more than anyone else, and she didn’t hate people very easily. Her fists clenched at her sides angrily. “Ramsey,” Allie gave him a sarcastic smile. “I swear to God, if you don’t go away I’ll take Frankie’s medication away and release her at you.” She knew the damage Frankie could do if she was angry enough to do so, and she hoped Sam did too. She couldn’t remember if he had been there for mini-prom or not.
He hadn’t understood. She didn’t mean about him leaving. She didn’t mean about how he felt about other people. Allie had meant how he felt about her. One day he’d be telling people about her pain killer addiction, the next he’d be apologizing and telling her he loved her. Then there was the outburst at the bon fire. Allie placed her elbows on her knees, raising a brow at Cheetah. “No. No that’s not what I meant.” She said, her voice monotone. She didn’t want to scream. All she wanted to do was simply explain what was on her mind and maybe he would listen. “Could you please just hear me out?” Even if he wouldn’t, it would be worth a try.
”I meant about me. You change your mind all the time. It’s crazy, it really is. The first time I met you I knew there was – there was something.” Allie said softly, taking a hand full of sand and watching it slip through her fingers, just like she felt Cheetah was. She lifted her head, readjusting to seeing his face again. Allie cracked a smile, before letting it fall. “You helped me through everything. You were dare I say – perfect?” She said it as more of a question than anything. “Then all of a sudden, it was like you were against me. You exposed me of my addiction, you practically screamed that you didn’t like-“ She stopped again and rephrased the last word. “No, not like, you screamed that you didn’t love me. You left me there. You left me. Then, you came back, and we were here again. We were at the beach…” Allie paused.
She took one finger and simply wrote the words that he had. Allie is amazing. She glanced back up at him. “Do you remember that?” She questioned, quickly erasing it with one swipe of her hand. “Then you left again, making me thinking that I screwed up again.” Allie felt her voice cracking. She promised herself she wouldn’t cry. She couldn’t. If she did it would just make her look like a fool. It was the worst thing she could do.
In a moment’s time, she could feel herself feeling guilty. Quin. She was with Quin, she wasn’t allowed to feel this way about Cheetah still. That hadn’t stopped her with Paul, but that was a completely different story. “I shouldn’t feel like this. I shouldn’t. I’m with somebody. I’m with some-“ Her head bolted up and she was looking at Sam again. Allie nodded in agreement. “The asshole’s got a point. Why did you go out with me in the first place?” [/blockquote]

Sam snickered faintly, siddling over at he raised his eyebrows. He had been doing some press stuff that weekend and had skipped the mini-prom, but he had heard how crazy some girl had gotten. Whom he assumed now, was Frankie. Laughing he shook some hair out of his eyes, glancing over at Allie " Ooh, now i'm afraid " he sarcastically announced, twirling around for a moment to make sure the camera crew wasn't there- he had just regained his reputation, and didn't want to ruin it. Of course, that would be a huge challenge for Sam, and he'd most likely fail and just give up altogether. However, it was nice to at least have a goal, right?
Looking over at Cheetah and Allie he rolled his eyes, as quiet as he would be about things, he knew of their past romance. He snorted. Romance. But then again, besides making out with a few hot co-stars, he had never really had a girlfriend.. well, there was Brooklyn, Brooklyn? That was ages ago.
Cheetah licked his lips, hearing Allie's words he sucked in his cheeks before nodding quietly. " I'm listening. " He murmered, his eyes flickering up to meet hers for a moment as he sprawled himself out comfortably in the sand, letting one lanky arm dangle over his knee as he sat ontop of the other leg. Watching her play around with the sand he mimcked the motion, letting the grains slip through his fingers before a small sigh escaped his lips, he did remember the first time they had met. Biting his lip he felt his heart do something weird, skip a beat? No way, he couldn't still like her like that. He had already been there, done that, it was too late.
But as she continued to speak he felt his heart jumping more than once, a few times even. Feeling himself shiver at her words, he had been perfect? Cheetah knew he wasn't perfect, but at one point SHE thought he had been perfect.. wow. Running a hand slowly through his hair her words finally hit him, and he felt like a complete idiot. Why had he done what he did, why? His reasons seemed pathetic now, but had they really been reasons at all? His head spun as he glanced up at Allie once more, resting his forehead in the palm of his hand as his eyes flickered down to the sand as he read the words she had written. Allie is amazing. Why was he such an idiot?
Cheetah heard her voice crack and froze, did this mean she was upset about this as he was? Except their reasons were different, she was confused, hurt, and probably a bit angry at him, and he was full of regret, how had he let her slip away like this? " Y-you never screwed up. " He finally mumbled, his voice squeaking towards the end of his words, feeling stupider than ever as her next comments came. She was taken? She was with someone, someone else? His head spun once more.
Sam yawned, this was kind of boring. Glancing over his shoulder eagerly he hoped the press would show up as both confessed hidden loves or something corny like that, then he could take the credit.. Suddenly he perked up, did Allie just agree with him? A grin spread across his face, " Actually, I'm not just a regular asshole, I'm a hot asshole. And a famous one, too . " He corrected her, unable to stop beaming in his usual smug manner as he watched Cheetah squirm uncomfortably under both of their glances, it didn't take a genius to figure out how much he didn't like to be the center of attention. Licking his lips Cheetah hesistated before slowly looking up at Allie, feeling like a fish out of water, first lost for words but then they hit him quickly, too quickly " BecauseIreallylikedyouandIstillkindadoand- " He cut himself off before he made things worse.

Sam had gotten on just about every nerve Allie had. She’d always hated him, not only for the specific reason that he annoyed the hell out of her, but because he always seemed to want to ruin everybody else’s fun to make his life more interesting. She had never met a person quite like that, and it definitely pissed her off. She narrowed her eyes at him, his sarcasm making her want to just walk over and rip his blond hairs right out of his head. At the very mention of him being scared, she rolled her eyes. “Whatever.” She said softly, shaking her head. “Moron.” She muttered under her breath, looking up at Cheetah. He had listened to her. He made her feel like she was worth it.
His words were perfect. It was what she had longed to hear for awhile. She wanted to hear that she hadn’t screwed up, because deep down inside of her she knew that she didn’t. Allie knew she was a good person to him, and that she tried to be perfect. Of course nobody was perfect. She knew that. The moment seemed to be getting better instead of worse like she had imagined. She was happy, or so she thought. Allie could barely even register that he was here, let alone talking to her.
She took the blanket out from underneath of her and draped it over her shoulders, pulling it tight to her chest. As the sun went down a little bit, the air temperature changed. It wasn’t freezing, but Allie got cold easily. Her eyes met his and she shrugged. “Are you sure I didn’t?” She inquired, quickly pulling the blanket over her legs so that the only thing sticking out of the blanket was her head. “Screw up, I mean…” She trailed off at the sound of Sam’s voice again.
”You’re not hot. You’re cold, just like your soul.” Allie said in Sam’s direction. If she wasn’t so cold, she’d take a handful of sand and throw it in his direction, hoping it would get in his eyes and make him blind or something. She smirked at the idea, glancing down at the sand below her. That was a very good visual. Her eyes darted back up to Cheetah’s own eyes, and she listened to how quickly she spoke. It was easy to make out.
Allie felt on top of the world. It hadn’t taken her long to understand what he said. Quin was similar to Cheetah in some ways, but not in all. For instance they were both a bit introverted. Allie made up for that with her being so extroverted. With a small smile at his sentence, she leaned in close to him, shaking her head. “Cheetah, you will never learn, will you?” She asked, leaning back to her original position across from him. “You’re like, basically the one person who made me understand that I didn’t need those pills. You made me feel safe. The boy I’m with is nothing like that. Sure, he’s nice and everything… but he’s no you.” She said softly, tugging the blanket closer to her again. “Sometimes I think it’s supposed to be that way.”

Sam snorted, she really sucked at comebacks, didn't she. Well that was no fun. Ruffling his hair he sighed impatiently, glancing over his shoulder for the cameras. Where were they? Kicking some sand into the air he watched the wind whip it around, instantly flying back into his eyes. Letting out a long stream of curses he stumbled backwards, one arm flying up to defend his face. " Fuck fuck fuck. " he grumbled, a huge frown set on his face as he did his best to wipe the sand off his face before peering out again over at Allie and Cheetah. Nothing had changed, they were still talking about boring things. Who cared about an old relationship? When you broke up you broke up, that was that.
Licking his lips suddenly the gears began to turn in his mind, sure he had a failing grade in math, but he figured it he kicked the sand at the right angle, it would hit the two lovers. Right? Snickering to himself he quietly slunk over to where they were sitting, casually looking around as he dug his feet deep into the sand, in a good position to flick it up when needed.
Cheetah watched Allie wrap the blanket around her shoulders, shifting his seating so he could reach up and fix the blanket if it began to flap around or something. Hearing her question his eyes met hers, his heart skipping around in that same way as it had when she said he was perfect. Nodding quietly he licked his lips, " Y-yeah, you didn't.. it was me " he mumbled, letting the wind brush some of his hair infront of his eyes, but his lanky arms wrapped around his legs he didn't bother with it.
Shutting his eyes for a moment he rested his chin on his knees, a small laugh escaping his lips as he heard Allie's next retort to Sam. He knew a lot of people who would just lose it and tell him off right there, cuss their minds out, but for whatever reason she hadn't, and he found that funny, especially her particular choice of words. Cheetah couldn't help but agree more, for the record, Sam did have a cold soul. For whatever reason he acted like an ass to well, everyone, but Cheet himself figured that one day someone would manage to get to him, and hopefully change him.
Opening his eyes slowly he jumped slightly to see her right infront of him all of a sudden, instantly flushing slightly as he flashed her a sheepish grin before her words sunk in. She felt like she didn't need to take the pills because of him? He had that big an impact on her? Cheetah suddenly felt like a four year old with all the questions that were flowing through his mind but he shook them off as best as he could. Shrugging slightly he looked over at her, biting back a grin from just being with her " well, maybe it is meant to be like that " he told her quietly, cheetah wasn't one to talk much but when he did he tried his best to mean whatever her said.
And then, Sam pulled the trigger on his brilliant plan as he felt a wind gust strongly. Kicking up sand he watched eagerly as it swirled in the air before whipping quickly right through the area where Cheetah and Allie were. Letting out a whoop he watched them double over as he snickered, wiping some sand off his hands. " Thats what you get " He announced loudly with a sneer.
Cheetah saw the sand coming and tried to be a shield for both of them, which didn't work so well at all. Letting out a yelp as some sand got in his eyes he momentarily stuffed his face in his hands, wiping it off before looking up to glare at Sam " Get lost. " He practically growled, in a way Sam would know he saw serious. Rolling his eyes Sam glanced over at him, " Give me my clothes back, then. That whole outfits like, over a thousand dollars, asshole and theres no way you're keeping it. "

The moment was still. It was like nothing could stop the feeling now. She knew how she felt, and now she knew how he felt. She couldn’t feel guilty anymore. She was too happy to even feel guilt. It was in the back of her mind, but she’d never let it show. Her eyes scanned him over, dancing in the soft moon light above the water. She couldn’t help but wonder what kept her from him all the time. He was her world. All she could do was hope that Quin understood how much Cheetah meant to her, and not hate her. It would be awfully awkward to be around Cheetah with Quin around. Allie pushed Quin to the back of her mind. It wasn’t time to think about him. But if now wasn’t the time, then when was?
She beamed, his words making her over all happy. Maybe it was meant to be. There had to be a reason he kept coming back to her after all this time. Allie leaned in slowly, putting one hand on his shoulder and looking him in the eyes. She was still slow, but not as slow as she leaned forward, placing her lips on his. She gave him a gentle kiss, before pulling back and grinning at him. ”I still love you.” She assured him. Just as quick as the moment had started, it was wrecked. Allie tried to block the sand with her blanket, throwing it in front of herself and Cheetah, but just as he had tried, it was no use. Now, Allie was livid.
She tore the blanket off of herself, throwing it to the side and shaking her head. “Shhh, I got this.” Allie said with a nod to Cheetah. Allie knew somebody had to tell him. He wasn’t the nicest person in the world. He was down right rude, a person nobody wanted to be around. She didn’t care if she was being bitchy anymore. He had totally just ruined everything, and she was pissed beyond belief. She clambered to her feet before taking a few steps towards Sam.
”Tell me something. What the fuck is wrong with you? You can’t let anyone enjoy themselves. It cuts you to the core to see somebody happy. It makes you wish you knew what true happiness was, because I honestly don’t think you know what it is. What makes it so bad for somebody to be happy in front of you? Why do you always have to be so horrible? People hate you, Sam. Most people hate you at least. I haven’t come across a person who doesn’t.” Allie kept herself calm, her voice constant but not loud. She wouldn’t start screaming and make herself look like a maniac. “I know I hate you. Your fan girls pretend to like you so they can try to get something out of you, I’m sure of it. Fame, fortune, whatever. Girls don’t care. Nobody did anything to you here. So can you tell me why you always have to be more horrible?” [/blockquote]

Cheetah's eyes met hers for a moment, feeling the little hairs on his arms stand up as he shivered, his eyes flickering around the scenery of the moment. Although he preffered forests to public beaches like this one, he couldn't lie to himself; this whole scene was amazing, the sun setting on this nice beach. And then of course, he was with Allie, somehow they had fixed things; he hadn't felt this good in awhile. With the exception of Sam being an idiot, the moment was amazing. This time when she leaned forwards, he didn't jump or even flinch, still absorbing everything. Suddenly a rush of adrenaline shot through him as her hand was on his shoulder, almost sensing what was coming next as their lips collided for a few moments, before the developing mood was ruined by none other than Sam.
Sam gagged as they kissed, squinting into the darkness that was slowly creeping over everything. He was ready to head out, thanks to the fact his sand storm of frusterationg had worked. There was no way he wanted to be here, in the dark, with the two secretly found lovers- blah, that was all crap to him. Maybe in the movies, but he had been convinced for awhile that none of teenage love actually occured in real life. Or so he thought. " Get a room, " he snapped.
Running a hand through his hair, he snickered at Cheetah's outburst- that was unordinary. But he figured he might as well get out of here regardless, there was no point in sticking around. He was pissed off that the press that he had called hadn't came in the first place, he'd just get his clothes back from Cheetah later. But then Allie rose to her feet, looking pretty ticked off. Raising his eyebrows at her he opened his mouth to retort sarcastically, but she kept on talking and for whatever reason, he began to listen?
Pretending to seem unruffled by it he shook some hair out of his eyes, squinting at her stubbornly. " You're wrong, people DO like me, that's why I'm famous. " Rolling his eyes he began to walk away, " And, get your fucking story straight before babbling all this crap, acting like someone who's high off pills or something. Oh wait, isn't that you? " Glaring at her he kicked some sand up obnoxiously before exiting the scene, a visible frown plastered across his face, not bothering to look back and see Cheetah's expression. " And I want my clothes back ! "
Cheetah couldn't help it, he couldn't believe how Sam had mentioned her pills. He was an ass. Sam had obviously heard about the whole thing, he didn't need to bring it up. Shaking his head he heard his last request about the shoes, and in an instant they were off his feet and in his head as he pushed himself to his knees, whipping them at the back of Sam. Although it was a long throw one skimmed his arm while the other hit him in the back of the neck, causing the boy to stumble in the distance, and from there you could even hear his swearing. Making his way over to Allie he didn't know what to say, was she upset? If she hated Sam so much, would she not even care? " Don't listen to him.. "

Her eyes flickered with anger, looking Sam over. She had hoped that maybe she got through to him and made him leave. It was obvious that her hope was shattered at the comment about the pills. She knew she had a problem, or had had a problem. But now it was just as obvious as anything else that she did. It only made her want to throw them out even more. Allie hated them. They had pushed her friends and family away. She wouldn’t let them do that this time. Allie shook her head vigorously when he finished talking. “I’m not like that.” She mumbled to herself. She was sure she could convince herself that she was okay.
Allie chuckled as Cheetah through the shoes at Sam. He deserved that quite a bit. She wanted to take something of hers and throw at him, but all she had was a blanket and a guitar. She wasn’t going to sacrifice either item for Sam. Allie turned on her heels, hearing Cheetah’s voice. “I didn’t.” She said softly, setting herself in the sand beside him. She scanned the water, wondering what made Sam that way. It didn’t bother her that he was missing out on life, but it bothered her that he was messing up others lives. She had forgotten all about the entire incident with Claybrook up until this moment.
She turned herself to face him, just smiling. Allie wanted to get the mood back to where they were before so she wouldn’t feel so god damn awkward. “Sorry for going off like that… He just really pushed me that time.” She said with a nervous laugh. Allie grabbed the blanket again, shivering and tossing it over her shoulders. She felt so stupid having had a complete fit towards Sam. Allie mentally kicked herself, promising not to do something like that ever again, unless it was really needed.
It took her a moment to get used to being with him again. It still baffled her how he came out of nowhere. She slid a little closer to him, taking his hand and linking her fingers within his. “You know I don’t get high or anything, right? I’m not like that. I’m not like how he described.” It ate at her to know that someone thought that. She wasn’t going to need the pills anymore, or so she hoped.
She really hoped that Cheetah wasn’t angry with her. Allie didn’t want to screw up, since she apparently didn’t. She wanted to keep it that way so that she didn’t fear losing him ever again. She couldn’t lie, she was afraid he’d leave her again, but she couldn’t think about that now. He was here, and that was all that mattered. [/blockquote]

Sam wrinkled his nose as a shoe brushed his arms, what the fuck? Shaking his head he refused to turn around, for the record, Cheetah had horrible aim. Of course he didn't factor in how far away he was, but whatever. He had once played baseball as an eleven year old, before his fame had really sunk in. Taking another step he let out a loud slur of curses as he felt a sharp pain at the back of his neck, instantly stumbling forwards. Grumbling loudly under his breath his hand flew up to the square of his neck, alright, so maybe he didn't have the best aim. But that still fucking hurt.
Making his way back to the boardwalk he bumped into a reporter and a man holding a large camera. Scowling he pushed past them, to suddenly hear " Wait, Sam, Sam Ramsey! We're the crew you hired, sorry we're late. Come on, where's the kid-" The guys eagerly waited for Sam's reponse as he made a face, " Fuck off, you guys came too late and now they're on the beach talking or something." Shoving past them he kept his head down, for once in his life not wanting to be recognized. He wasn't that hurt by Allie's words, more confused. One, why had he even taken her seriously? And two, was she right? Did everyone really hate him? Shaking his head he made his way back to Stewart, thankful the beach was just a block or so away.
Cheetah flashed Allie a small smile in return, shaking some hair out of his eyes as he rested his chin in his hand. " Don't worry, he tends to make people feel like that. " He didn't want her to feel bad so he didn't mention how he somehow managed to shut out how annoying he could be and never lost his temper. Usually he just shut up if you told him firmly to stop, as long as he wasn't that riled up, just like a dog.
Glancing over at her the smile grew unintentionally bigger on his face as the realization hit him. He was with Allie, they were together, both literally and also as in a relationship. And he was very detirmined not to mess it up this time, he wasn't going to be an idiot any longer. Feeling her grab his hand a wide grin spread across his face, playing around with her fingers for a moment before gripping onto her hand, " I know, and honestly ? " He paused for a moment, inhaling the cool beach scent in a small breeze that swept by, " I trust you way, way before I'd ever take his opinion seriously. "
Licking his lips he paused, tilting his head to the side as he thought for a moment. " Hey, can we start over- I mean, this part of the conversaton, and just.. pretend Sam hadn't been here ? "

Time stood still for a moment as she finally realized how wrong she was being. She had Quin to tend to. You know, Quin, your current boyfriend? She wanted to stop her conscience from making her remember what a mistake she was making, because deep down she knew that it would not be a regrettable mistake. Allie would be happy again. She’d be truly happy. She hadn’t felt something like that since the last time she had been around Cheetah. He always seemed to bring out the best in her. She didn’t even want to begin to think about the reaction of Deanna or Paul. Allie knew they wouldn’t be happy with her. The least she could do was hope that they would respect her decision and not get angry with her. After all, it was her life.
His smile made her feel amazing. She was making him happy, and it was mutual. Allie never expected to come to the beach and meet up with the one person and emotion she had been trying to avoid. It was all so sudden and surprising. She was still a bit shocked. When he said that he trusted her, she just grinned. “I’m so glad you do, because if you believed him I would be so ashamed of myself.” She confessed. It was hard not to be happy around him, or at least for her. Cheetah just made it impossible to be upset about her current problem.
”Definitely.” Allie nodded in agreement. She didn’t like the awkward air that lingered between them ever since Sam had been there. He had to ruin everything, didn’t he? She sighed, realizing that it was his loss. Allie glanced up at him, since he was considerably taller than her. “I am the luckiest girl ever.” She said with a grin. In her mind, it was true. Allie looked down at their interlocked hands, admiring how well they had put everything back together.
She bit down on her bottom lip, the guilt still building up in the back of her mind. “I’m a little worried though.” Allie began. “Since I’m sort of with Quin. You know, I’m not even sure if I was really with him. He was a really nice guy, and we were close and everything but we never even kissed, and of course I’m going to feel guilty for doing this to him, but I can’t sacrifice all my happiness and stuff since I’ve got you back now. You’re most important. You make me feel like nothing can hurt me. I don’t want to do anything wrong.” She shook her head, embarrassed by her rambling again. To shut herself up, she leaned in and gave Cheetah another kiss, smiling into it. When she broke away, she chuckled. “I had to shut myself up.”

Cheetah watched her intently, even though she wasn't speaking yet, he could just tell by watching her movements that something was on her mind. Or maybe it wasn't her movements or actions, he just knew her that well? Studying her out of the corner of his eye he bit back another grin, watching how the wind blew back her hair and everything, having the sudden urge to lean over and tuck it back behind her ears. Tilting his head slightly to the side his eyes flickered almost cautiously over to hers, she had nice eyes. Had he ever told her that? Sliding his free hand down in the sand he shivered slightly at how cold it was under the sand, it was also getting kind of chilly on the beach.
It was weird how things worked, when he hadn't been with her he was fine, he had tried to push her from his mind. But now, being with her was a whole different thing; he couldn't get enough of her. Allie. Out of the corner of his eye he watched her open her mouth to speak, his attention immediatly snapping to that direction, instantly attentive. Listening curiously to her he nodded slowly, the soft grin creeping back up onto his face. He obviously hadn't been this happy in awhile, the smile refused to stay off his face for more than a few seconds. " Yeah, no worries there. " He assured her, watching her hair blow back in the wind once more, unable to hold back the urge anymore as he leaned forwards, gently tucking her hair back so it wasn't messed up.
" Sorry, " he mumbled sheepishly, the grin remaining on his face as he heard her next two comments. Once again he felt his head spinning at the rate this was all coming in at, one good thing after another. Cheetah didn't care if her comment may had sounded the slightest bit cheesy, he didn't care, he hadn't even got his head wrapped that far around it. " A-and I'm the luckiest guy.. " He murmered, gently rubbing the back of her hand with his thumb.
Quin, he must be new? Perking up as she began to speak he forced himself to zone back into reality, as amazing as this was, it was obvious things couldn't be perfect- they never were. Listening to her ramble on he bit his lip slightly, that was a complication, hopefully Quin would be okay about it? About to cut her off, and assure her things would be fine he suddenly felt her lips pressed against his once more.
Snickering faintly he lightly stroked her cheek with his thumb before they pulled away, " Nah, you were okay. " He told her with a lopsided shrug, shivering slightly as the sun began to fall more, " I mean.. whatever you decide to do, things will work out. " He told her softly, licking his lips, " At least, I'm pretty sure they will. " Cheetah managed to flash her a faint grin, his eyes flickering down to his clothes, how had Sam managed to convince him to wear this? He looked like an idiot, what was so stylish about this weird vest anyways?

She watched him shiver and slowly pulled the blanket out from underneath of her, draping it over the both of them. Allie didn’t want to seem selfish, her sitting all curled up in a blanket and him sitting next to her shivering. She felt bad for not noticing it earlier. Since the blanket was a bit small, she scooted closer to him, wrapping the blanket under her legs so it wouldn’t blow off of them. “There, that’s better.” She said, beaming. Allie didn’t want this night to end. It was one of the best nights she’d had in the longest time, and being with him just made it even better. She didn’t want to go back to her dorm and tell Deanna where she had been, who she had been with. She didn’t want to leave the warmth of the blanket and go back into the cold world without him. She just couldn’t feel the urge to move from her spot.
Allie readjusted her position, resting her head on his chest. He always seemed to be able to reassure her when she felt something was wrong. This time wasn’t different. She trusted his word. When he apologized for tucking her hair back, she grinned. “It’s okay. You don’t have to apologize for stuff like that.” It was so cute how he was so cautious about what he did to her. It seemed like things were going right back to normal. Her eyes darted down to their hands again. Priceless.
He thought he was lucky? She wanted to laugh at that, but she knew she couldn’t. Allie didn’t think he was so lucky being stuck with her. She was dramatic, demanding and at times could be obnoxious, but mainly she was dramatic and she knew that. It was one of those things she’d have to work on. Then she remembered her little outburst at Sam. He had deserved it. That’s all she’d say if he told somebody.
”Whenever I get on my little rampages like that, just hit me or something. I know it’s got to be annoying.” She said, laughing. The best part was she didn’t think he thought it was annoying. It was jut her reassuring herself that she wasn’t being annoying. He told her whatever she decided, things would work out. At that moment she knew exactly what she was going to do. She wasn’t questioning her instincts anymore. Allie was sure.
She looked up at him, feeling so small beside of him. “I’m going to tell Quin that I think it’s time he lets go. He has to some time.” Allie pondered her next words for a moment. “Cheetah, I’m staying with you, because I love you and that’s all I really know.”
[ooc:] i totally just quoted taylor swift. xD okay sorry lmao. [/blockquote]
